The "Le Bon Temps Roule" and the Tchefuncte River were the backdrop for filming 45 French beauty contestants competing for "Miss France 2000". We took two cruises up the Tchefuncte River. The first to film and the second to entertain. Needless to say, everyone including the crew enjoyed the trips. Onboard to assist the girls were: Mayor Peter Gitz, Admiral Joe Abrams, Coach Gary Lewis (Flop), Coach Jack Salter, Kevin Marse, Donnie Pulliam, Darren Gaunt, Eddie Pablovich, and Hyatt Hood from the St.Tammany Tourist Commission. The girls enjoyed lunch at Morton's restaurant on the Madisonville waterfront and then were introduced to Louisiana style boiled crawfish that afternoon at the Fairview State Park.
