        We have been very fortunate to have found the many heritage links to the "Gay Jane".  Within just a few days after accepting the donation of the vessel we had spoken with a representative of the builder, and every ownership.  Pictures started to appear and tidbits of history began to build.  The internet was a major player in locating  and communicating with these individuals, but the effort came from people who were touched by the ownership, construction, beauty, and history of this old vessel.  It has played a part in many lives and hopefully it will continue to do so for many years to come.  It would be hard to list everyone whom I have spoken with regarding the "Gay Jane", but here are a few that have been extremely helpful:
