Oceantide
76' Steel Trawler

"Oceantide" was designed by Ben Oslund and built/owned by Ed & Roanne Jinks, Seattle Washington.  She was built and launched in 1985 in Ventura California and used extensively by Roanne in the Prince Edward Sound, San Juan Islands, and the expanse of the Pacific coastline.  The boat was later sold to Charlie Guy of Tampa Florida, and later to Norm Hayden of Seattle Washington.  Cathy and I purchased the vessel through Fraser Yachts, San Diego office in 1994, and in January of 95', we brought "Oceantide" through the Panama Canal to Madisonville with the assistance of Harold Bosworth; delivery captain.  In the summer of 95', and with the assistance of Kahn Haroun from Trinity Yachts, the boat was recoated with awlgrip.  In the spring of 96', we departed Madisonville for the St. Lawrence Seaway, and were severley distracted in Lauderdale by someone who desired to own the vessel.  She was the finest vessel I have ever owned!
